We have lived in the north shore for over 20 years and for some reason, have never eaten here before. My wife my son and I came in Saturday around noon to find the place was packed (always great to see). Still we were seated quickly. I thought the staff was super friendly and attentive. The owner came by with a huge smile and asked how we were doing. Our food came out and was great (I had the Rueben). Smaller comfortable place. Good looking bar, good looking menu, and nice people. Will not wait another 20 years to go back

Very good hamburgers!!! Good local restaurant and during the summer there is outdoor seating.

Found my new favorite menu item... steak sandwich, minus bbq sauce...but still loving their french onion soup.great attentive service aa always

I sat outside on the patio because it was a beautiful day. I had the blackened salmon sandwich on French bread, and it was amazing! Great flavor!!

Always a nice stop while in town. Owner is really friendly and accommodating and the food is great.

Norton's is a Highland Park classic. It's a stepped-up bar vibe with super friendly staff and great service. The drinks are ALWAYS generous and they have daily drink specials, too. Their Paloma's are a must try. The Asian grilled chicken salad is really good. Their grilled shrimp is excellent and can be added to any salad. They also have good tacos and quesadillas. Their soup changes but my favorite is their cold gazpacho. It's super fresh and a must-try if available that day. The best thing about Norton's is the popcorn that they give you when you sit down. It's a great snack before the meal and a fun alternative to bread or chips. Seating is offered both inside and outside. You can also order the full menu from the bar.

Cool old school looking sports bar. It has a decent amount of drinks and food. Norton's is an institution in downtown Highland Park. For sure it's nothing fancy, but you can find some decent things if you aren't too discriminating about flavor and the like. The prices are kind of high for this type of thing. About as neighborhood of a bar as you can get around here. It doesn't have the fancy atmosphere like a lot of the other downtown restaurants. They do have the high prices though. Drinks are good. It's about $12 for some basic drinks, which is not good. We decided to not get any more than one. Each of us had the Impossible Burger. It's $15, which is a lot but not as expensive as this other place was. Came with choice of a side, and we got fries. We liked it, except for the price. It looked like a basic burger. This seemed a little too expensive for this as it wasn't like it was anything amazing for sure. Good old classic looking sports bar. It also has a patio. The drinks and food are too expensive to make this a dive bar, but there's lots of good things about it, such as having a few choices for vegans and vegetarians.
